You Can Choose the Role You play.
I rarely remember my dreams, but this morning I had one that was so vivid it wants to be told.
I was visiting George Harrison and we talked about life and music. A song by U2 was playing and he mentioned he didn’t remember them playing a cover of a Beatles song. I asked him if he remembered being the person he was when he was in the Beatles. He said, “Of course. We remember who we were even though we are no longer that person.”
That was it. I woke up.
Man…it was so vivid, I really felt like I was visiting with him!
And the cool thing is, this message jives with what I’ve been learning lately. That over the course of our lives we do many things and take on many roles or identities. And we tend to identify so strongly with them that we believe that’s who and what we are. I know I did that for most of my life.
But that’s NOT who we ARE! We are the ones doing the remembering, choosing the roles, playing the parts! We are our consciousness, and it is always with us throughout our lives and many roles.
This Essential Self has the power to observe and choose what to believe, do, have, and be.
So…what roles have you been playing? Do they feel good to you? You know you get to choose, right? 😊 💕
